Routine brushing, cl
eaning and debris removal will avoid accumulation of leaves and dirt which reduces compaction and also increases playability and the average life expectancy of the carpet by up to 10 years.
This is not only an important factor in the playability and lifespan of the surface but also a health and safety one. We have recommended maintenance programs to suit your budget.
Maintaining an artificial surface is a constant battle against the weather as well as the wear and tear of constant use.
If a surface is not maintained adequately then fewer customers will use it and those that do will be unhappy with its quality.
- Cleaning – Regular weekly cleaning ensures that the playing surface is kept at optimum quality by removing any debris that is present.
- Infill re-cycling – You can carry this out monthly, although this is probably a little too frequent, but as a minimum we would suggest twice yearly. All sand/rubber and debris is removed by brushing and vacuuming the surface. Then the clean infill is deposited back onto the surface and worked back leaving a playing surface that is as good as new.
- Seam Repairs – These are essential as faulty seams present a health and safety risk and if left will deteriorate over time.
- Refurbishing – Drainage is an essential quality that artificial pitches possess.
- If a surface is badly deteriorated then this will compromise water absorption leading to the top layer of the sand infill collecting debris in the form of biological black sludge. Regular maintenance/cleaning should prevent this.
