Elements of a Scheme
- Main drains: conduct collected water to final outfall drain or soakaway
- Lateral drains: move water from lytag bands to main outfall drain
- Lytag bands: inserted in grass at 1 metre spacings to pick up surface water and deliver it into piped system
- Maintenance: vital to success of any scheme
