Examples of works we carry out:

Complete cultivation of existing sward, amelioration of soil with sand, laser levelling and seeding with our new pitch mixture of cultivars.
Removal of existing poor pitch surface, laying of a rootzone layer and levelling and seeding.
Power harrowing up pitch, deep verti-draining, followed by levelling and re-seeding.

Ploughing up, stone burying, adding topsoil, re-grading and reseeding.

Sometimes it is better to bite the bullet and start again!

Maintenance Programs can include both on and off-season works including:

Scarification – Scarification of a sports pitch is carried out to remove thatch and meadow grass. This is essential to clear away the pitch debris and prepare the ground for seeding.
Top-Dressing – The correct mix of sand / soil will be applied to the pitch after scarifying. This helps with levels on the playing surface and can assist in drainage and helps create a good seeding bed.
Verti-Draining / Aeration – this assists growth, relieves compaction and helps with root development.
Hollow Core – different size cores are removed from the ground for soil exchange and improved aeration without compacting surrounding cores.
Seeding – seeding ensures new growth and helps reinstate worn out areas. We use a 30mm width spacing seeder, which is PTO driven and creates very close spacing.
Feeding / fertilising is carried out if required after soil has been analysed.
Sand banding (if required).

During the playing season, grounds require regular maintenance to keep a healthy surface and we recommend a programme of works including:
